Any U. S. citizen 18 years old or older, who is a
bona fide resident is eligible to register to vote in this town. A bona
fide resident is one whose fixed home is in the town in which they apply
and to which home or town they intend to return when they are temporarily
absent.
17 year old registration: If you will be 18 years old by election day you may register.
You may register to vote in person at the Registrars Office located at Town Hall at 400 Main Street. You may also request a mail-in voter registration form which you may complete, sign and mail back to the registrar of voters of your town of residence. You may also register to vote in the office of the town clerk and at the library.
In general, the deadline for registering to vote in Connecticut on election day is two weeks prior to election day. The rule is different for referendums; you can register to vote up to the day before a referendum.
