St. Stephen's Nutmeg Festival, a hallmark of Ridgefield's summer season, escaped threatened storms today, as Ridgefielders, visitors from neighboring towns, and politicans of every stripe enjoyed the traditional event. Congressman Jim Maloney, a regular visitor to the Festival, talked with fairgoers and with St. Stephen's volunteers. The 5th District Democrat has been targeted by national Republicans as the GOP struggles to retain control of the House.
