President Clinton Comes To Danbury To Support Jim Maloney - More photos

[Left] DTC member Pat Baker and husband Al came to meet Presidnt Clinton. [Right] Susan Cocco's daughter Francesca, an ERMS student, was a key member of the traffic patrol at today's event. Francesca worked hard under the hot sun, directing hundreds of visitors to parking. It all paid off when she got to shake hands with President Clinton!

[Left] Registrar of Voters Cindy Bruno was one of several dozen Ridgefield Democrats to attend the event. [Right] Rep. Maloney thanked Pres. Clinton for his leadership, and for the many benefits his policies have brought to Connecticut and to the greater Danbury area. As Ridgefield DTC Chair Jim Diamond noted, "The President made it clear, as only he can, how important it is for the people in the greater Danbury area to send Jim Maloney back to Washington so that we can continue to make progress on health care, social security, education and the environment."

[Left] The crowd absolutely loved Pres. Clinton - his talk was freqeuntly interrupted by applause and chanting. "This event will have an enormous impact on the congressional campaign," noted Jim Diamond, Ridgefield Democratic Town Committee head. "The President has given Congressman Maloney a tremendous vote of confidence. He was quite persuasive in demonstrating how our country cannot afford to lose Jim Maloney." [Right] Finally, after several encore appearances to shake just a few more hands, the President bids a final farewell to the large and enthusiastic Connecticut crowd.
