Nov. 4 -- Cong. Jim Maloney was in Ridgefield greeting voters today, just three days before the election. The two-term congressman was joined by First Selectman Rudy Marconi, who urged townspeople to support Rep. Maloney at the polls on Tuesday.

Rep. Maloney, who lives in Danbury, has been a supporter of Ridgefield throughout his years of public service. "We have great support in Ridgefield," the popular Democratic congressman said today, "I feel a lot of energy when I'm in town." First Selectman Marconi, who has been urging Ridgefielders to vote for Maloney's reelection, said, "Jim Maloney's hard work has been great for Connecticut, great for the Fifth District, and great for Ridgefield. I'm urging Ridgefielders to send him back to Congress for a third term."

Dave explains that fire department personnel must be on duty during a public event in the High School gym, since it has no sprinkler system. Under Marconi's school building plan, sprinklers will be installed, eliminating the necessity for fire dept. crews to attend.
