Ridgefield Democrats Unleash Last-Minute Push For Ticket

Nov. 5 -- With two days to go before the historic Election 2000, Ridgefield Democrats are out in force campaigning for the Gore-Lieberman-Maloney ticket. (Photo, left) Here, Selectman Joseph Heyman (left), DTC Chair Jim Diamond, and Maloney Field Coordinator Melissa Klein remind drivers approaching the intersection of Rt. 35 with Rt. 7 to vote for the Democratic ticket on Tuesday. Other volunteers handed out literature and balloons in front of Copps Hill Plaza HQ (photo, right), manned the phones, and talked to friends and neighbors about the importance of getting out the vote in this critical election. Joseph, Jim, and Melissa tell us they're getting very positive feedback about Jim Maloney and the Gore-Lieberman ticket from passers-by
(Photo, left) DTC Chairman Jim Diamond used a giant "Go, Joe Go!" sign to urge voters to support the Gore-Lieberman ticket. Democratic Selectman Joseph Heyman (photo, right) was out at Joe's Corner reminding passing motorists to support Congressman Jim Maloney.
