Work is under way on Ridgefield's new middle school. The site, adjacent to the High School, is a beehive of activity, as shown in the photos (above). On the left, seen from the High School parking lot looking west (toward NY State), the lumber that's been cleared is visible, along with some of the construction vehicles. The scene on the right is from the cleared land, looking east toward the current high school. We last visited the site in this Oct. 2000, pictorial, showing preliminary site preparation work under way at that time. We'll keep you updated as the various projects to expand Ridgefield's school system get under way.
