Jun. 16 -- Ridgefield's Fifth Annual Lesbian / Gay Pride Celebration added a new dimension this year: a community picnic, on the lawn of the Aldrich Museum, following the traditional ceremony at the Veteran's Memorial. First Selectman Rudy Marconi spoke at this year's event, as he had done last year. Past First Selectmen (both Republicans) had ignored the event, which has celebrated Ridgefield's diversity for the last five years.
