Democrats Greet Hundreds At Sale-A-Bration

July 7 -- Ridgefield Democrats greeted voters at today's Sale-A-Bration, continuing a tradition of meeting-and-greeting at key downtown events. Democratic Town Committee Chair Susan Cocco reported that over 400 of Ridgefield Democrats' signature blue and red balloons were given out to voters of all ages. Well-wishers also stopped to say hello to First Selectman Rudy Marconi, most congratulating him on the great job he's been doing. Ms. Cocco declared the day a great success, noting "We're very pleased that the interest in Ridgefield Democrats continues to grow. In addition to folks stopping by just to say hello, we had many voters signing up to help us in the upcoming election. And, as always, Rudy's presence attracted lots of folks who wanted to thank him, give him input, and generally offer good wishes."

[Right] In keeping with tradition, Main Street was closed to motor traffic, but very much open to pedestrians, as thousands of Ridgefielders and neighbors from surrounding towns took advantage of perfect summer weather to enjoy the annual event.
