| Everyone enjoyed golf with Rudy, followed by dinner at last year's golf outing. He invites everyone to come out to this year's event, whether for golf, dinner, or both |
In its second year, the annual Marconi Challenge is expected to draw a large number of golfers to the Ridgefield Golf Course on Friday, September 14. The action starts at 10 AM, with tee times until 1 PM. Dinner at the wonderful Bernard's Inn at Ridgefield is from 6:30 to 8:30 PM.
Last year's highly successful event - both golf and dinner - was held at the Salem Golf Club. 86 people enjoyed the day's activities. With the event now being brought home to Ridgefield, it should prove to be even more of a hit this year. The Ridgefield Golf Course, a par 70 course with a slope of 119, is one of the best municipal courses in the Northeast. The course has a nice layout and presents enough challenges to make it enjoyable for golfers of all levels. Even those golfers who put in a sub-par performance will have a chance to revive their spirits at Bernard's Inn at Ridgefield. The exquisite food is prepared by Bernard and Sarah Boissou, described by Connecticut Magazine as "supremely talented chefs."
[Golf includes green fees, carts, deli lunch. Proceeds to benefit Ridgefield Democrats.]
