Jun. 11 - The second time was the charm, as voters today approved the school budget, after rejecting it in the first ballot two weeks ago. The final vote was 2,428 Yes and 2,130 No.

Today's turnout was 29% of registered voters, up from about 20% in the first ballot. It appeared that school supporters, who failed to rally their supporters for the first referendum, were energized by the initial failure and turned out the votes today.
