More than 1500 delegates, alternates, and guest VIPs attended the 2002 convention. The media was out in force, too, and the event was videotaped by Ct. public access television.

[Left] The victorious slate salutes the convention. (From left) Attorney General Dick Blumenthal, Lieut. Gov. candidate George Jepsen, Gov. candidate Bill Curry (here holding his neice Maya), Comptroller Nancy Wyman, Treasurer Denise Nappier, and 4th CD candidate Stephanie Sanchez.
[Right] Ridgefield delegates (from left) Cindy Bruno, Pat Baker, and Reggie Hazel have an informal chat with Bill Curry at the Saturday morning breakfast.
[Left] Rudy chatted with an old friend - Barbara Kennelly, the Democratic gubernatorial candidate in 1998. Barbara fondly recalled Ridgefield Democrats' ground-breaking efforts to provide live gavel-to-gavel Internet coverage of the '98 convention.
[Right] Roger Garbow speaks with Ellen Curry, the candidate's sister. Bill comes from a close-knit family and has four sisters. He explained that, in growing up, his sisters did a good job of helping him learn the art of humility.
[Left] Ridgefielders cheered when Nancy Wyman's name was put into nomination for Treasurer.
[Right] The Treasurer delighted the convention by dancing her way to the podium.
