Ridgefield Democrats Welcome New Members

New DTC members

Feb. 13 -- The Ridgefield Democratic Town Committee tonight elected three new members, all with strong records of public service. Tom Elliott (photo, 3rd from left) is a 27-year resident who has been very active in environental and planning issues, and has been involved in ROSA since its inception. Mariana Corrado (photo, 2nd from left) has been actively working for Democratic candidates in Ridgefield, including playing a key role in Jim Maloney's recent campaigns; Mariana's interst in politics dates back to the Gene McCarthy days. She has been active in working to stop the spread of casino gaming in Connecticut, and has been involved in CACE since their first meeting. Randall Balmer, a university professor and writer recently appointed to the Parks and Recreation Commission, was also elected to the DTC. He was unable to be at tonight's meeting.
