May 31 -- Ridgefield Democrats conducted a giant tag sale this weekend, and lots of folks found just the bargain they were looking for. In spite of drizzly, threatening weather, potential customers flocked to the Beechwood Lane home of Ethel Eckhaus to check out the bargains - many found some great buys. (Photo, right - shoppers were greeted with a wide variety of interesting items - all at bargain prices.) The effort was spearheaded by Ethel Eckhaus and Ed Pearson (photo, left, on the right) and was assisted by many volunteers, including Pam Hunter (photo, left) and Pat Baker (center). Enthusiastic about the response, Ed and Ethel said we should make the Spring Tag Sale an annual DTC event - sounds like a winning idea!
