Sept. 7 -- Robert Kennedy Jr., and Congressman Patrick Kennedy of Rhode Island visited Ridgefield today in an effort to raise awareness of critical issues including environmental legislation and enforcement, funding for education and the economy. They were guests at a fundraiser for Congressman Kennedy held locally, where several Ridgefield Democrats spoke with them both about the upcoming national and local races.

Youth leader Sarah Bel, soon to experience a one week internship at the Dept of Defense via the National Youth Leadership initiative spoke with Patrick Kennedy about her passion for government and her intention to become the first woman elected President. Congressman Kennedy asked her to "save the VP spot for me" and offered to help her with her future campaign.
