Sept. 14 -- A large group of Ridgefielders came out today to show their support for First Selectman Rudy Marconi. Hosted by the gracious Jabara's at their beautiful High Ridge home, the event was attended by more than 100 townspeople, united in their commitment to help re-elect Rudy and continue the tremendous record of accomplishment of his first two terms. Connecticut's Secretary of the State, Susan Bysiewicz, attended and presented Rudy his personal copy of the brand-new Connecticut "Blue Book," or State Manual (photo, right). The Secretary, who has been a staunch Marconi supporter and friend of Ridgefield Democrats, told the large crowd she wanted to be present at this, the first of a number of receptions planned for the First Selectman, to show her support. Entertainment was provided by Broadway performer Debbie Gravitte, who wowed the crowd with her dynamic song stylings.
