Sept. 21 -- Ct. Attorney General Dick Blumenthal appeared today at a reception honoring First Selectman Rudy Marconi. The Attorney General, well known throughout the country for his consumer and environmental activism, urged Ridgefielders to support Marconi's bid for reelection, noting, "Rudy Marconi is one of the most caring, honest, dedicated chief executives in the state of Connecticut." Speaking of Rudy's accomplsihments, Blumenthal said, "Rudy is an unbelievably strong ally in many of our fights: casinos, open space... He has done many things for the quality of life in Ridgefield." Blumenthal added, "By keeping Rudy doing the great job he's doing, you're helping not only Ridgefield, but the entire state of Connecticut."
The reception, held at the beautiful home of Planning and Zoning Commission Chair Di Masters, was attended by more than 100 Marconi supporters, who turned out on a picture-perfect afternoon to show their support for the popular First Selectman's reelection bid.
