Oct. 18 -- The popular Bully's restaurant played host today to a reception for Rudy Marconi and the Democratic ticket. A casual atmosphere prevailed as Rudy, Selectmen Barbara Manners and Steve Zemo, and other candidates met supporters and voters over hors d'ourvres and beverages. The reception capped off a busy Saturday of candidates campaigning on Main Street, and of volunteers working the phones and welcoming visitors at our just-off-Main Street headquarters.

A special guest today was George Jepsen (photo, left), Connecticut's Democratic State Chairman. Jepsen, a candidate for Lieutenant Governor in 2002, urged Ridgefielddrs to go all out in their support for Rudy and the entire Democratic team. He stressed the importance of Democratic success in this Fall's muncipal elections, and said that success here would help ensure Connecticut's support for the Democratic Presidential candidate in 2004.
