Apr. 26 -- Congressional candiate Diane Farrell brought her message of Change in Washington to Ridgefield tonight, and townspeople were enthusiastic about her and her message. Appearing before about 100 townspeople at the Community Center, in a Forum sponsored by Ridgefield Democrats, Ms. Farrell, the four-term First Selectman of Westport, talked about the importance of changing the Washington agenda to one that better refelcts the needs of Connecticut's Fourth Congressional District. She also pointed out that her opponent, 16-year Republican Congressman Christopher Shays, regarded by some as a "moderate," actually voted in lockstep with the Delay-Bush agenda 85% of the time in the last Congress.
The candidate also praised First Selectman Rudy Marconi for his leadership and progress in moving Ridgefield forward. Ms. Farrell promised that she would return to Ridgefield frequently during the upcoming campaign.
