School Advisory Committee Presents Final Report

School Oversight Advisory Committee Unanimously Endorses Report; Presents It To Selectmen

The 41-member group unanimously recommended that the Town select from a list of 7 options for building additional classroom space to solve the current school overcrowding problem. The final recommendations are:

The Selectmen thanked the committee for their work. They also accepted their recommendation to have their report-writing subcommittee stay in existence to provide ongoing citizen input and communication as the school building process continues.

School Advisory CommitteeJust last night, the committee held its final meeting to endorse the report. Over the course of several weeks, the 40-member committee reviewed every possible way to find square footage for classrooms to alleviate the overcrowding that has been dogging Ridgefield elementary and middle schools for the last two years.
