Quail Ridge Residents Organize On Bypass

Emergency Meeting Called For Sunday Afternoon

The Quail Ridge Association has called an emergency meeting for Sunday, Feb. 28, at 1:30 PM, at St. Stephen's Church. According to a flyer distributed today, "this meeting is being held to organize and pool our talents in an effort to fight the proposed highway that threatens to cut through Quail Ridge I and II..."

Residents of nearby Ivy Hill Rd., also impacted by the controversial bypass proposal, have retained attorney Ward Mazzucco, who is experienced in zoning and land issues, to assist in the fight against the neighborhood-busting plan. Quail Ridge Association members are being asked to help by contributing to the legal defense fund.

This web site will cover Sunday's meeting; check back often for breaking news about this issue.
