| (a) Expansion may not be possible at all school sites to the needed capacity due to zoning, site constraints, and program set by the BOE. | |||||||||||||||
| (b) Based on projections prepared by Dr. Hyung Chung and rounding school size off to the larger multiple of 25. | |||||||||||||||
| (c) Two additional classrooms would be required in 2008 based upon a current program design capacity of 900. | |||||||||||||||
| (d) Between 2001-2008, about 8 additional classrooms would be required for extended-day kindergarten. | |||||||||||||||
| (e) If new elementary is simlar in size to existing elementary schools, about 10 additional classrooms would be need for extended-day kindergarten. (Calculations for projected classroom requirements are based upon 21 students in K-1 classes and 26 in 2-5 classes.) | |||||||||||||||
| (f) New expanded 5th grade curriculum in approved educational specfications would not be available without physical renovations. However, program enhancements in science and foreign language could be provided using portable carts and supplies with minimal additions for required storage. | |||||||||||||||
| (g) Timing and extent of additions/renovations would vary based upon capacity of new elementary school and implementation of extended-day kindergarten. | |||||||||||||||
