Democratic Selectman Mike Jones and candidate Joseph Heyman met the voters, and many future voters, at today's St. Marys Fall Festival. The 199 Festival drew record crowds on an absolutely perfect late summer day - it was pleasantly warm, dry, and the sun shone brightly all afternoon. First Selectman candidate Rudy Marconi spent the afternoon at the Festival meeting voters, too, but somehow our cameraman never caught up with him.
[Left] Getting in the spirit of things, Joseph got ready hopefully for the Moon Walk by removing his shoes; turned out they wouldn't let him on because he's too tall! [Right] Mike fed the sheep and goats at the petting zoo - he's just a big kid too!
Joseph tried to explain the intracacies of municipal planning to this future voter - the young man was heard saying, "Yuk, can't we talk about getting over to the toy sale, please!"
