Oct. 19 -- Ct. Secretary of the State Susan Bysiewicz today endorsed Rudy Marconi for First Selectman, predicting that he will "bring new and needed leadership for Ridgefield." Ms. Bysiewicz, a first-term Secretary of the State, has projected Connecticut into the vanguard of states in its use of the Internet. Under her leadership Connecticut has become the first state to implement on-line campaign finance reporting on the World Wide Web, and has just opened all business records filed with the state to the public via the Internet. She praised Ridgefield Democrats for their innovative use of the Web in local government, noting that www.ridgefielddems.org is one of the leading political web sites in the state.
